Adjectives describe nouns
Ex: Vanessa is beautiful.
- Is the question easy or difficult?
- It is easy.
Grammatical structure:
Positive statement:
Noun or Subject pronoun + verb to be in present + adjective
Ex: Vanessa is beautiful.
Negative statement:
Noun or Subject pronoun + verb to be in present + not + adjective
Ex: Vanessa is not beautiful / Vanessa isn't beautiful.
Question:
Verb to be in present + noun or Subject pronoun + adjetive?
Ex: Is Vanessa beautiful?
Possessive Nouns:
The possessive form of a noun is used to show ownership.
- Ex: Laura's car is expensive.
Add an apostrophe + "s" ('s) to form the possessive of a singular noun.
- Ex: Robert's house is big.
Add an apostrophe (') to form the possessive of plural nouns that end with "s".
- Ex: The Robertsons' dog is ugly.
